An evening at Schonbrun Palace, The Docklands Melbourne.
An evening at Schonbrun Palace, Cockle Bay Wharf Sydney.

On the 17th and 18th of February 2009 we held our Austrian Airlines Awards 2008 night in Melbourne and Sydney.

At the foot of Schonbrun Palace and around the spectacular cherub fountain over 120 Victorian agents and 160 Sydney agents were treated to an abundance of great food, amazing entertainment and fantastic giveaways.

The night commenced with a string quartet playing well known Austrian Classics that serenaded the audience.

Morten Skaar , Country Manager for Austrian Airlines thanked all the agents for their hard work, support and dedication to Austrian Airlines throughout 2008. We were then treated to the operatic delights of Austrian born Erich Fackert Mary Louise Santa (Trained by the late and great Luciano Pavarotti).

The Awards where given out in the following categories:
Best Agency – SET Travel, Melbourne
Best Consolidator – Concorde International
Best Wholesaler – Austrian Pacific Touring
Best Agency Group – Travelscene American Express

New South Wales
Best Agency – Adriatic Adventures, Sydney
Best Consolidator – Consolidated Travel
Best Wholesaler – Scenic Tours
Best Agency Group – Flight Centre

Followed by more great entertainment from Erich Fackert and Mary Louise Santa.

Then Austrian Airlines giveaways were drawn with the Main prize of a return flight from Australia to Europe flying Austrian Airlines won by Leanne Beale of Jetset Geelong West from Melbourne and from Sydney Greg Zozda of Magna Carta Travel.

It was a great night for all and we would like to again, thank all of our attendees.
