Cruise Express was the winner of two prestigious awards at the 2010 ICCA event held in Sydney on Saturday night scooping double honours for “Consumer Promotion of the Year” and “Bronze Cruise Agency of the year”.
“We are delighted to win the Bronze Cruise Agency and Promotion of the year awards,” said Cruise Express Director Lance Mumby, who accepted the accolades at ICCA’s dinner ceremony.
The cruise promotion was awarded for its unique ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ theme. Barry Stevenson, Cruise Express Senior Cruise Consultant who designed the package, said “for the first time Australians could sail around the world on two P&O Cruise liners, Oriana and Arcadia, with a Christmas stay in the UK mid-way through the journey”. Cruise Express guests are currently on this round-the-world cruise, returning to Australia on February 13, 2011. A huge number of bookings for the trip led to the busiest-ever day at the Australian office for P&O Cruises World Voyages last year.
In 2009, Cruise Express won the ICCA award for best cruise consultant in Australia (Hardy Schneider) and also Cruise Promotion of the Year again for a Cunard Mediterranean cruise package. And in 2005, Cruise Express was awarded the top ICCA accolade as the best cruise agency of the year in Australasia.
“We believe we go the extra nautical mile to ensure the first class holidays we create are matched by first class service at our end. Really looking after our clients from the first call till the moment they walk back down the gangway takes time and effort. We believe these awards reflect the importance we place on top service” said Mr Mumby.
Cruise Express led by Directors Lance Mumby, Meg Hill and Hardy Schneider, was established in Sydney in 1996 and offers cruise holiday services to a growing number of customers around Australia. Cruise Express also hosts its own popular program of hosted cruise tours overseas.
