More than 20 wholesale and retail partners of Tahiti Tourisme in Australia and New Zealand have just returned, slightly suntanned, from the largest Tahiti TravelMart held so far.
Tahiti Tourisme held its first Tahiti TravelMart in 2003 and has seen it grow each year thanks to support from the Australian and NZ trade.
The seven-day journey around Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora and Huahine gave Tahiti Tourisme Director, Robert Thompson and Business Development Manager Emma Williams, a valuable chance to update partners on Tahitian products, as well as give them an authentic taste of Tahiti to expand their travel knowledge of the destination.
As well as a full-day of one-to-one meetings with tourism operators in Tahiti and regular hotel inspections, participants tested their courage with an all-terrain vehicle tour on Moorea and jet-ski racing on Bora Bora, explored spectacular lagoons, enjoyed a picnic on a white sand motu (islet) and chilled out with a coconut and Tiare-scented spa session.
Australian attendees included Creative Holidays, Qantas Holidays, Expedia, Surf Travel Co, Adventure World/Coral Seas, GTA, Tahiti Travel Connection, Elegant Resorts and Villas, Flight Centre Global, Stella Travel Services, Honeymoon Worldwide Holidays, Tahiti Tourisme and Air Tahiti Nui.
