Monaco Convention Bureau announces new 2019 digital campaign

In the framework of Monaco’s commitment to sustainable development and fight against climate change, the Monaco Convention Bureau has launched a new digital campaign and several initiatives around responsible tourism.

Monaco, under the guidance of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, is one of the first nations in Europe to adopt a more environmentally conscious attitude. His Serene Highness, in his roadmap to 2050, gave a target to all the stakeholders of the country, a target for the future: being carbon neutral at this date.

Beneath the surface of Monaco’s deep blue sea lie some very good creative activities and ideas designed to create and protect a sustainable environment that safeguards its inherent beauty. Over the last two decades, the Principality has witnessed a boom in sustainable tourism practices and organisations of all kinds and formats have embraced the sustainability message wholeheartedly.

In this context, all hotels, representing a total of 2,500 rooms (including Green Key, Globe and Planet 21-awarded hotels) and its convention centre, the Grimaldi Forum, are eco-certified, while all its tourism professionals are committed to energy transition.

As a dynamic, competitive and innovative community of experts in the key sectors of science, industry and sustainability, Monaco has repositioned itself as a destination that is responsible and sustainably managed.

This is why the Monaco Convention Bureau has launched this new digital campaign with the new mantra “Business is Green”. At a time when the environment and the problems of climate change increasingly affect business decisions and when clientele request cleaner, healthier, and more responsible events, Monaco is the “proof of concept” that being green is not only a commitment to the world, but also a trade advantage to make business events more successful in the Principality.
