Autumn in Tasmania

They say if you want to know about the weather in Tasmania you have to ask every five minutes, with a range of weather changes possible no matter when you visit! Autumn (March to May) sits at the end of the peak tourist season in the Apple Isle and is a fantastic time to visit. If you’re a keen photographer, the autumn period is made for you. The deep greens in the trees start to turn into a mix of fiery red and gold, and photogenic hotspots like Wineglass Bay, Cradle Mountain and Bay of Fires are far less crowded. Experience Tasmania throughout Autumn on the 10-day Tasmania WondersGuided Holiday itinerary, combining spectacular landscapes with exposure to rich convict history and gourmet artisan produce.

Summer in Uluru

Uluru is a popular destination all year-round, but from January to March, the park gets a little quieter due to the heat of summer and the wet season rainstorms. Seeing the park during summer is perhaps when Uluru is at its most beautiful, waterfalls cascade from the rocks and the flora comes to life with fields of purple Parakeelya contrasting the red earth. The park is open longer from 5am-9pm to take advantage of the longer days and letting you maximise your time.  A must-do is the Field of Light sunrise tour, offered exclusively by AAT Kings. Wander through the 50,000 magical spheres of light and soak up the beauty before being totally overwhelmed by watching the sun rise. The sheer size of the famous landmark will blow your mind on its own but experiencing the changing desert colours while the sun comes up will be the ultimate Uluru experience.
