Malindo Air and Wonderful Indonesia activation in Chadstone
To celebrate Easter holiday and continue introducing the new Malindo Air’s Melbourne – Denpasar service opened last June 2018, Malindo Air, Wonderful Indonesia and Helloworld created Integrated Promotional activities with Brand activation that took place in Myer activation fountain, Chadstone from the 11th – 14th April 2019.
The Brand activation was successfully held with several interesting cultural performances, kids’ activities and a Virtual Reality experience meant to increase Malindo Air’s and Wonderful Indonesia’s brand awareness and brand engagement with their end customers.
To increase destination awareness, an Indonesian rare traditional musical instrument called Bundengan which is also functioned as a duck hoarder rain shield from Central Java and a traditional musical instrument from the island of Lombok called Gula Gendhing were played and on displays alongside kids’ workshops to create Javanese puppetry called Wayang among other activities.
Gula Gendhing a drum like instrument which also serves as canister to fairy floss called “Rambut Nenek” or “Grandma’s hair” is an Indonesian children’s favourite and proved to be popular among children who visited the event in Chadstone.
Bookings were also taken in-store and on site (manned by Extra Travel) with many attendees enjoyed great discounted fares offered by Malindo Air with Melbourne – Denpasar offered from AUD 396 return with 15 kg cabin baggage, choice of meals and non-alcoholic beverages included.
