How long with MTA: Seven years.
Background: My first travel industry job was with Avis at Sydney Airport, I used to be so envious of people getting on the planes and wondered what part of the world they were travelling to.
What did you do before you joined MTA? I worked in agency retail stores in country NSW and Brisbane.
Do you have a specialised area in travel? South Pacific and island destinations.
What is the most unusual (or interesting) location you have worked as an MTA Mobile Travel Agent? On the deck of my over water bungalow in the Maldives – you can truly can work from anywhere!
What is the weirdest request you have had from a client? What will the water pressure be in the hotel shower?
If you hadn’t become an MTA Mobile Travel Agent, what other career path would you have taken? I love people and travel, so it would be a tour guide.
What’s one of your biggest personal achievements? Other than my children, running my own business.
Describe your perfect holiday: A mixture of real culture and history, perfect weather and amazing food.
if you had a time machine where would you travel to and why? I would travel back to those carefree times when you could backpack around the world.
If you could choose one, what would your super power be? Control the weather, it’s a vital ingredient to a great holiday – it would help our poor growers and farmers.
What three things do you always take with you when travelling? Sunscreen, lip balm and power adaptor.
