Statement from Anthony Ritter of Experience Co

“My association with Experience Co (formerly Skydive the Beach) started in the CFO role in 2011 when it was a standalone skydiving business based out of Wollongong.

It has been a privilege to serve as the company’s CEO for the past two years and I fully support Experience Co’s vision to create the world’s largest and most respected adventure tourism company. You will find no greater supporter of Experience Co than me.

From modest beginnings, Experience Co has grown into one of Australia’s leading leisure companies. In March 2015 I helped float Skydive on the ASX. In recent years I also played a leading role in its expansion from a skydiving business with a single drop zone, to a diversified international business with numerous assets on the reef, in the rainforests, on the ground and in the air.

One of the most pleasing aspects is that the group now engages some 1,000 people throughout Australia and New Zealand. I am extremely proud to have led this business.

In recent months I have given thought to my professional goals for 2019 and beyond and I believe now is the right time to step away from the business and look ahead to new challenges.

I thank the Board of Directors and wish them all the very best of luck in leading this company forward. To my original fellow Executive Director, Anthony ‘Bowie’ Boucaut, the entire management team and my Executive Assistant Tiarna Snow, thank you for your loyalty, your support and your efforts in assisting me throughout the journey.

The real heroes at Experience Co are the team. These individuals provide customers with awesome, ‘once in a lifetime’ experiences and they are bloody good at what they do.

It is my intention to stay in the tourism sector and after travelling for more than 150 days last calendar year, I’m looking forward to spending a little more time at home, at least in the short term.”
