Meet MTA – Mobile Travel Advisor Sallee Vuletich
Background: Something my clients, friends and colleagues might not know about me. I am the part owner of two Magic Millions’ thoroughbreds, a filly and a colt, which will start racing this February.
What did you do before you joined MTA? I worked in travel in offices, I am a certified councillor and a hairdresser.
Do you have a specialised area in travel? USA, Canada and Alaska.
What is the most unusual (or interesting) location you have worked as an MTA – Mobile Travel Agent? Pompeii, Italy
What is the weirdest request you have had from a client? A client once asked me if I could organise an underwater wedding in Tahiti for him – I said I could, I did and it was amazing.
If you hadn’t become an MTA Mobile Travel Agent, what career path would you have taken? A wedding planner.
What’s one of your biggest personal achievements? To have been married for 42 years and counting to the same man – a feat of strength, compassion, love, and devotion.
Describe your perfect holiday. Not having to do anything for myself, being able to take in all the wonder of wherever it is I am and relaxing.
If you had a time machine where would you travel to and why? The 17th century when travelling anywhere took days in uncomfortable old carriages etc. People thought the world was flat yet they still set out to see if they would fall off. That to me is the excitement of travel, everything evolving and changing, even today- but not falling off any edges!
If you could choose one, what would your super power be? I already have one! It’s called listening to other people. If I could choose another it would be flying so I didn’t have to put up with surly flight attendants.
What three things do you always take with you when travelling? My travel diary, my iPad and my husband. You must have someone to carry your bags!
