Chern’ee shares her culture through her art
ETB Travel News Ambassador and Contemporary Indigenous artist Chern’ee Sutton loves to share her peoples history and stories through her art and recently travelled to Woorabinda to hold a painting workshop.
Chern’ee and her younger sibling Brooke recently travelled to the remote community of Woorabinda and held a painting workshop with the local High School children and the local elders in conjunction with the Queensland Police Service.
The 2 day workshop was a great success with all the children putting in a fantastic effort to get the 2 large paintings completed on time and looking so good. Chern’ee and Brooke added the finishing touches to the paintings back in Bundaberg and then had them photographed by Queensland Police and the 2 images are going to be used for another exciting project that is coming up soon.
Age – 21 years.
