Ted Travels: From Uyuni to Iguassu Falls

Photography lovers looking for a new trip to take their breath away?

How about one that includes the largest and highest salt flats, the driest desert in the world, a train to the clouds, flamingo watching, remainants of adobe pre-Inca ruins, marvellous attraction such as the Camino del Inca, and the Quebrada de Humahuaca, and a vast gorge of vivid coloured rocks and mountain sides with giant cacti. It can all be included with the right planning.

At Contours Travel we can design and include these and more highlights into your clients special holiday.

Starting from the Bolivian town of Uyuni, clients will first explore the Salar de Uyuni and take about 2 to 3 days to cross over into Chile. Stopping in the middle of nowhere, each day better than the next: coloured lagoons with flamingos on a landscapes of sand stone cut by the wind.

As the tour approaches volcano Lincancabur, on the border of Chile and Bolivia, the ride is on a new paved road that leads to the town of San Pedro de Atacama. Here, we can select any of the special lodges, from all-inclusive deluxe to bed and breakfast options for at least three days in the area to explore, it’s well worth it!

From here we cross the mighty Andes into Argentina and the city of Salta. Founded in 1582 with lovely colonial buildings on elegant plazas where they will find folkloric music, great food and high-altitude wines. Into the country side they can take the train ride into the clouds, crossing 21 tunnels, 13 viaducts, 29 bridges, 2 loops and zig zags. But that’s not all, there are plenty of coloured canyons, nearby wineries and museums exhibiting mummies!

After this, clients will need some well-deserved R-n-R, there are direct flights from Salta to Iguassu Falls in the Argentinian side. They can check into the hotel in the Park and chill on their balcony looking at the falls (Yes, we can book them into the best room with a view). It’s a great way to break your clients holiday adventure after the high-altitude unique adventure.

We have many more travel holiday ideas all around Latin America; we have been there and done everything to make sure our clients will have the best trip!
