Hang 10 in California with STUBA

From desert to ocean, California has it all

California; inspiration to hundreds of songs, and the epicentre of the film and music industry. A more diverse destination would be hard to find, making it one of the top travel hot spots in the world.

Stretching from the Mexican border along the coast for almost 1500km, the trip would include the Mojave Desert, Redwood forest, the Sierra Nevada mountains, Hollywood , Santa Monica pier, Alcatraz island, and San Fran cable cars.  An itinerary to excite and satisfy any family or solo traveller.

In the USA, they of course drive on the wrong side of the ride, but don’t be too put off to give it a try. A huge part of the USA’s attraction and something which they are extremely proud of, are their extensive freeway system, making amongst the best road trips in the world.

Here at the Stuba office, we have come up with a 4 day itinerary that agents can promote to their more adventurous clients, including some of the states best attractions:

1. L.A and Santa Barbara: Los Angeles, needs no introduction. Studio tours, shopping, Santa Monica beach, Beverly hills. If people watching is your thing, there is no place on the planet better than L.A.

2. San Simeon and the Santa Ynez Valley: Stop off at Hearst Castle, visit the seal rookery and stop off at some of the local eateries. Santa Ynez Valley is in Santa Barbara, and is renowned for its food, art galleries, a bustling wine industry, pick your own apples, and numerous antique stores

3. Big Sur: If spectacular mountain ranges are to your liking then head to Big Sur. A massive continuous range designated as a national treasure. Redwoods, hiking, beaches, and dozens of more attractions make it one of the most popular places to visit, for International and domestic visitors.

4. San Francisco: Needs no introduction really. Known for its hilly aspect, cable cars, Alcatraz Island, hippy culture, personal freedom and more. The tourism hot spots include Fishermans warf, the Golden Gate bridge, Alamo Square, the famous Lombard Street, and is one of the most pleasant cities in the world. Infact it comes in at number 10 on the liveability index. Top restaurants include Kokkari Estiatorio, Seven Hills and at the more modest end Burma Superstar Restaurant.

Tourists will find Americans friendly and helpful. Recommend  a road trip to your clients and they will never forget it, and they will never forget you !
