Avis Car Rental has been crowned Australia’s Best Car and Campervan Operator of 2018 by the Australian Federation of Travel Agents’ (AFTA) National Travel Industry Awards (NTIAs). Voted the winner by its peers in the travel industry, Avis took home the prestigious award, beating competitors Britz Campervans, Hertz, Europcar and Thrifty to the post.

Attended by over 1200 industry leaders and representatives across the travel sector, the AFTA NTIAs acknowledge the best of the best in the Australian travel industry. The awards ceremony, hosted at the International Convention Centre in Sydney on Saturday 21st July, recognised achievements by travel agencies and individual consultants, as well as the suppliers which support them.

With more than 240 rental locations in Australia, Avis has rapidly become a leading Australian car rental service and recognised globally as a leading provider of mobility solutions.

Ian Jones, Commercial Director of the Pacific region at Avis Budget Group said, “We are absolutely delighted to be awarded Australia’s Best Car and Campervan Rental Operator. The NTIAs are a fantastic accolade to attribute to our brand and we’re hugely grateful that our contribution to the sector has been supported and recognised by our industry peers.
