Soneva launches limited-edition ice cream flavors for World Ice Cream Day

In commemoration of World Ice Cream Day on July 15th, Soneva, the world-leading luxury resort operator, is adding 10 limited-edition flavors to the already unique offerings at the 24-hour ice cream parlors at each of its resorts in the Maldives and Thailand.

For the next 12 months, guests at Soneva Fushi, the collection’s flagship private island resort in the Maldives, will get to pick from 10 new flavors, including Soneva Bread Fruit and Maldivian Pine Nuts, Strawberry with Aged Balsamic and Green Olives, and Curry Leaves with Sweet Mango. At Soneva Jani, the overwater villa in the Noonu Atoll of the the Maldives, guests can cool off with such flavors as Yuka with Garden Basil, Seaweed, and Caramelised Young Coconut. And at Soneva Kiri on the remote island of Koh Kood, new flavors include Deep Fried ‘Mango Sticky Rice,’ and a combination of Sweet Potato, Fresh Coconut, and Caramelised Red Chili.

Soneva will also be introducing one new flavor each month, inspired by the month’s Festival of Colour theme. The Festival of Colour, which runs until February 2019, is Soneva’s first-ever, year-long campaign celebrating the diverse array of guest activities and experiences on offer throughout the resorts. Soneva has confirmed a huge line-up of visiting experts, including chefs, authors, wine producers, world champion free divers, astronomers, artists, wellness practitioners, tennis coaches and more at all of its resorts.

Soneva is known for the complimentary ice cream parlors at all of its resorts, both for the extensive variety of flavors on offer and the unique flavor combinations. Typical flavors available at Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani include Rocket Leaf Sorbet, Garlic and Honey, Pineapple and Chili Sorbet, Salty Caramel, Roast Banana and Pistachio Milk. A number of the ice creams and sorbets are vegan-friendly and low in sugar. At Soneva Kiri in Thailand, the ice cream parlor typically offers Thai-inspired flavors such as Thai Tea, Taro, Tom Kar Mushroom, and Coconut Coriander.
