Run away with the circus at the Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner
Reserve your table or individual tickets to the 2018 Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner online today. The circus-themed, black tie event is on Saturday 4 August at Campbelltown Arts Centre from 6pm.
Tickets to ‘The Greatest Show’ include a three course dinner, drinks, entertainment and live music. Individual tickets are $150 per person or $1400 per table of 10 and are available via Council’s website.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said all proceeds from the event would be donated to a Campbelltown based St Vincent de Paul Refuge for women and children escaping domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse and homelessness.
“Funds raised this year will provide support to some of the most vulnerable members of our community, he said.
“The facility provides a safe and secure environment to learn independent living skills while empowering the families in their care on their personal journey, supporting multicultural practices and respecting diversity, religion and background.
“Up to 11 families can be housed at the refuge at any one time. In addition to providing safe accommodation, they provide meals, information, advice and connection to other community resources such as medical support, education, government assistance and housing.
“Council will soon be sharing a pledge list of common items that the refuge needs to be able to support each family in their care. Many of the women and children they support arrive with no more than the clothes on their back.”
Should you be unable to attend the event, but are looking to support the women and children of the St Vincent de Paul Refuge, donations of money, in-kind support, raffle prizes or gifts are welcome.
