Global video competition worth $10,000 thanks to Cover-More

From relaxing on breathtaking beaches to scaling snow-capped mountains or indulging in the tastiest local cuisine – there are thousands of ways to explore the world and just by sharing your favourite adventures, one inspiring lucky globetrotter will be crowned this year’s Ultimate Traveller.

Now in its fourth year, the Ultimate Traveller video competition has already showcased hundreds of travel lovers’ adventures from across the globe. The search is on once again by Cover-More, Australia’s leading provider of travel insurance and medical assistance.

So who has what it takes to be crowned 2018’s Ultimate Traveller?

It can be anyone who has the attitude that any opportunity to travel is the chance to have an experience of a lifetime.

Just by recording and sharing a short video showing a fun travel experience or an exciting adventure puts you in the running to win a $10,000 travel prize.

One entry will also win the People’s Choice Award, where the ‘Most Popular’ video (by public vote) will win a $1,000 travel voucher.

Last year’s winner, Canadian Tyler Cave, 25, spent his $10,000 prize visiting his bucket list destinations – Cuba and Japan. Hear about how he spent his past year travelling and what winning the Ultimate Traveller competition meant to him in this video here.

Last year’s winner of the people’s choice award and a $1,000 travel voucher was Alexandra Franco, 22, from Brisbane with her video Queenslandwhich you can view here.

Every year, video entries from all over the world showcase the beauty, simplicity and excitement of travel, but you don’t need to be a skilled videographer to create a winning entry – you just need to be passionate and a little bit creative!

Cover-More’s Glenn Broadhurst explains: “This is by far one of our favourite times of the year because we get to see so many passionate travellers doing what they do best – enjoying incredible travel adventures.

“And the best thing about this competition is that by sharing your experience you are not only inspiring other people to get out there and explore the world, you are also sharing knowledge which helps make other people’s explorations just that little bit better.

“Anyone who loves to travel can be the Ultimate Traveller. All you need is your camera, some imagination and creativity. The video can be as simple or as complicated, funny or serious as you want to make it, and can be about one place or a few destinations together.”


Entries are open now and close on 3 September 2018.

Winners will be contacted by 10 September 2018.
