Rocky Mountaineer appoints new Director of Sales
Rocky Mountaineer, the world’s largest privately owned luxury tourist train, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amber Wilson as Director of Sales for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Wilson will provide oversight for sales activity in the region including working with trade partners and managing the regional teams, ultimately responsible for sales in Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, Wilson will assume the position on July 23.
“As Rocky Mountaineer continues to show year-on-year growth in ANZ, we are pleased to welcome Amber to our team to help us meet the growing demand and focus on 2019 and beyond,” said Fiona Watson, Managing Director, Sales, Asia Pacific.
“Amber adds to the team’s cross-section of experience and will bring a depth to the work we do and keep our thinking fresh and creative. It’s an exciting time for Rocky Mountaineer, our partners and team,” added Watson.
Wilson joins Rocky Mountaineer from Silversea Cruises, where she acted as Managing Director for the APAC market. With over 20 years’ experience in travel and tourism, Wilson will bring her expertise from the cruise and hotel background to Rocky Mountaineer’s in-market sales team.
“I am excited to start a role with such an iconic travel company,” says Wilson of her role with Rocky Mountaineer. “I have a lot of passion for bringing our market to the rest of the world and look forward to working with the many partners involved in Rocky Mountaineer’s business.”
