International Boat Show boosts Northern Gold Coast hotel bookings
Ramada Hotel Hope Harbour is cashing in on one of the northern Gold Coast’s biggest events with property bookings projected to reach 100 percent when the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show hits town this month.
Hotel Manager Rene Stern said 80 per cent of the property’s rooms were already booked for the show between May 24 and 27, with the remainder projected to book out for the event period.
“The boat show celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and will feature dozens of exhibitors and hundreds of boats guaranteeing four days of fun,” Mr Stern said.
“This event is fantastic for local businesses as it attracts people from across the country and the world to this beautiful part of the city.”
Mr Stern said the northern Gold Coast was popular among tourists thanks to its proximity to the theme parks, sporting facilities and shopping centres.
“Hotel guests choose Ramada Hotel Hope Harbour because of our comfortable accommodation options, great conference facilities and excellent food and beverage outlets right on the marina,” he said.
“We had a good summer and April was particularly strong, with the Commonwealth Games boosting our occupancy to 100 per cent over the event period. The boat show is another great boost that will contribute to what is already proving to be a great year.”
Ramada Hotel Hope Harbour will be running food and beverage specials for hotel guests and visitors over the boat show period. A designated park and ride will also be located nearby in Sickle Avenue, with a shuttle running to Sanctuary Cove.
Mr Stern said he’d love to see more major events at the northern end of the Gold Coast.
“More major events up this way would definitely be welcome as they provide a great benefit to the whole community,” he said.
