Williams steps down from Globus
The Globus family of brands has today announced the resignation of Stewart Williams, managing director of the company’s Australasia office, effective as of 16 February, 2018.
Globus family of brands president and CEO, Scott Nisbet said Mr Williams has resigned for personal reasons adding that he has been a strong leader during his many years with the company.
“For three decades, Stewart has helped our worldwide team grow Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterways’ presence and sales throughout Australasia,” said Mr Nisbet.
“We wish him well in his future endeavors and we look forward to the next phase of growth for the Globus family of brands in Australasia.
“As we conduct an extensive search for a qualified, passionate and professional leader to guide our Australasia team, the office will have the full support of our worldwide network of professionals. The future is bright for the Globus family of brands in Australasia and across the globe.”
Mr Williams confirmed he will continue working with Globus family of brands on an associate contract basis as required and expressed his genuine fondness for the company and his teams over the years.

Peter Douglas, national sales manager for the Globus family of brands’ Australasia office will act as the office’s interim managing director. With more than two decades of travel industry experience and expertise, Douglas will help ensure a seamless transition for the team and its travel agent partners.
Troy Ackerman remains in the position of general manager for the New Zealand office.
