Showcasing local suppliers, beautiful food, teas, coffee and sparkling wine, Viking will welcome botanical enthusiasts to the Viking Cruises High Tea at the upcoming Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. The setting will be modelled on the stunning Wintergarden venue, where High Tea is served aboard Viking’s industry-leading ocean ships – a serene Scandinavian space set beneath a canopy of blonde wood.
The 23rd annual Show will be hosted in the heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens from Wednesday 21 to Sunday 25 March. Featuring the best landscape and floral talent from Australia and around the world alongside an extensive array of garden retail products, the prestigious Show is a celebration of lifestyle and our great outdoors, well established in the psyche of Australians as a “must see” event.
“High Tea attendees will relax in an exclusive lounge area for refreshments and a touch of luxury,” says Jane Moggridge, GM Marketing and Communications, Viking Australia and New Zealand. Each day, a talented team of chefs will create a beautifully crafted menu, to be paired with a pot of tea, cup of freshly ground coffee or a glass of sparkling wine, as they absorb the surrounding beauty. “Viking is the perfect fit for this event given the popularity of our High Tea experience in our well-loved Wintergarden space at sea,” says Jane.
With a major focus on emerging lifestyle trends, the Show is set to inspire crowds of 100,000 people to experience masterclasses with floral designers, meet key landscape designers, exhibitors and industry experts, as well as peruse the avenues of exhibitors selling everything from bulbs, plants, tools, trinkets and garden accessories.
The Show runs for five days from Wednesday 21 to Sunday 25 March. There will be three High Tea sessions per day, at 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm. Tickets start from $60 per person. For additional information or to book your ticket, please go to this link: http://melbflowershow.com.au/high-tea/.
