Don’t stop in Singapore Scoot urges families

Families are firmly in the sights of Scoot and in 2018 they are challenging parents not to put off travelling, but to take the kids along, explore, and create a lifetime of memories around the world together.

A new campaign is offering families great value flights to India starting from $199 one-way including taxes from Perth, via Singapore, for an Economy Fly Fare (bags and food extra). This means the culture and exotic flavours and sounds of countries such as India are really within reach, budget-wise.

Besides India, this promotion includes many other destinations such as Athens, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam. Flights to Singapore and then onwards to 20 destinations start from just $109 (ex Perth), $119 (ex Gold Coast), $129 (Ex Sydney) and $149 (ex Melbourne) one-way to Singapore.

Recent figures suggest Australians are travelling overseas more than ever, and the close SE Asian countries, NZ and Pacific Islands still top the list. Since Scoot’s very first flight from Sydney in 2012 till date Scoot has expanded with a network of more than 60 destinations allowing Australians to scoot further, away from the reassuring, but well-worn tracks.

Some destinations are now more accessible and desirable for Australian families, such as Greece, Philippines, Germany and India.

Suggesting families with kids over 8 years old would enjoy jetting off to Incredible India may seem implausible, but the travel experiences of the Lucas family from Melbourne show it is not such a far-fetched plan for spending quality family time together.

Of course, a stop either way in Singapore is always a great option. Consider teaming an island-hopping jaunt in Greece with a “Shopover” in Singapore’s Orchard Road or ethnic enclaves on the way home. Or lose yourself first in the surreal botanical wonders of Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, with a sneaky Singaporean hawker food experience en-route.

On sale from now, until 2359 (Perth) and 0259 AEST, to travel by 27th October 2018
