OpenTable rounds up the trendiest restaurants to dine
It’s one of the most beautiful holiday locations in Australia, and now as the 2018 Commonwealth Games draws closer, the Gold Coast is getting ready to shine its light on the world stage.
While picking a beach along the sun-drenched coastline might be a difficult decision to make, choosing a restaurant to dine at needn’t be! OpenTable has pulled together a list of some of the trendiest and newest restaurants to open up on South-East Queensland.

Garden Kitchen & Bar – The Star Gold Coast – With cascading greenery, modern design, and a fresh seasonal menu, Garden Kitchen & Bar has all the ingredients for a dining experience you won’t forget. Recently opened up at The Star Gold Coast, it offers diners the ideal place to have a leisurely bite with friends, family meal, or date night.
Miami Marketta – Miami comes alive with foods from all round the world at Miami Marketta, which is even boasts a dessert hall. This family orientated outdoor dining experience takes you on a journey offering options from 35 sought-after vendors. Introducing reservations just recently, you can now check in to your table and then take your time to go and grab your food, without the stress of losing your seat!
SANDBAR – Having recently undergone an inspiring transformation that brings a slice of seaside sophistication to a famous precinct, SANDBAR is serving up gourmet burgers and healthy Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls to the Gold Coast. A must-try for those looking for a refreshing meal paired with a few cheeky cocktails.
The Island – Located in the heart of Surfer’s Paradise, allow yourself to relax and enjoy all that is The Island. A new bar and restaurant boasting an Italian inspired menu and an extensive beverage list to be enjoyed by all. Let the young ones run wild in the venue’s exciting new kid’s area while you enjoy live music and entertainment.
The Collective – The Collective is the Gold Coast’s tastiest new playground featuring five restaurants, one bar, and a rooftop bar and dining experience. Hellenika – Recently undergone a fresh new makeover and in final stages of opening new upstairs bar/dining area ahead of the silly season, Hellenika is an authentic Greek eating and meeting place with true Greek flavours and wines. Perfect for big groups, Hellenika has been the talk of the town.
Old Tom Restaurant & Bar – The new kid on the block, Old Tom’s international wine and gin selection ensures there is something to please even the finest of connoisseurs. Located in the heart of the Broadbeach Mall, it boasts an elegant dining room offering world renowned culinary creations by executive chef Dayan Hartill Law.
The Roosevelt Lounge –The new and on-trend place on the Gold Coast, The Roosevelt Lounge knows its crowd – a dining experience strictly for the sophisticated and well-heeled crowd who appreciate fine food, bespoke cocktails and dance-worthy beats.
Bistro Chico – The venue formerly known as Bar Chico is located on Tedder Avenue in Main Beach, but has been reinvented and recreated into Bistro Chico.
