Mudgee Region Tourism takes home gold
Mudgee Region Tourism has taken home two awards at the 2017 NSW Tourism Awards last night collecting Gold for Destination Marketing and Silver for Visitor Information Services.
Reflecting the outstanding success of the regions current marketing campaign, ‘Let’s Skip Town Together’, the awards recognised Mudgee Region Tourism as being at the forefront of delivering quality products and experiences in the state.
Cara George, CEO of Mudgee Region Tourism says, “We are thrilled to be awarded with these prestigious wins. With over 300 active members, we are proud to promote our region’s exceptional experiences and be recognised for this at a state level.”
Two Mudgee businesses were also finalists in their own categories – Abingdon House for Self-Contained Accommodation and Sierra Escape for New Tourism Business.
Managed by the Tourism Industry division of the NSW Business Chamber and supported by the NSW Government via Destination NSW, the NSW Tourism Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses that demonstrate outstanding achievement throughout the year.
Let’s Skip Town Together was co-funded by Destination NSW and brought to life in partnership with Destination Marketing Store, Klick Communications, Leonards Advertising and WISDOM.
The win follows Mudgee Region Tourism’s success at the 2016 Qantas Australia Tourism Awards earlier this year, bringing the Destination Marketing Gold Award back to the region.
