Queensland Accommodation Report August 2017
The monthly accommodation report provides an overview of occupancy rates, revenue per available room (RevPar) and average daily rate (ADR) for Queensland accommodation establishments with 10 or more rooms.
This data is provided by STR who provide benchmarking and analytics for the global hotel industry.
Highlights for the month of August include:
The Queensland accommodation sector reported an occupancy rate of 75.5 per cent during August, up 2.4 per cent on August 2016.
While RevPar was up $2.08 to $126.37, ADR fell $2.63 to $167.44.
At a regional level, a number of regions – including the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Southern Great Barrier Reef – reported growth across all metrics.
The Sunshine Coast in particular had a strong month, with a 4.8 per cent spike in occupancy backed by robust ADR and RevPar growth.
