After the opening of the Maison Pradier kiosk last December and a McDonald’s restaurant in June this year, the transformation of the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition park continues with the inauguration of the PAUL innovation café.

A unique concept in terms of its singular, pared down design, the PAUL innovation café is equipped with its own kneader and bakery, offers city consumers a new range of breads and pastries seven days a week, and supplies all PAUL points of sale in the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition park.

The PAUL innovation café is part of the new catering offer designed by Areas to support Viparis in the transformation of the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition park into a site that is one with the city.

Alexandre de Palmas, CEO of Areas France and Northern Europe, said: “The opening of the PAUL innovation café, which is unique in terms of its architecture and wide range of products, underscores Areas’ ability to design contemporary and attractive catering solutions to match the needs and tastes of the different types of people visiting the park. Areas’ Paris Expo Porte de Versailles catering offering will be completed with the addition of around thirty international and French brands by the end of 2018.”

Deputy Director of Viparis Pablo Nakhlé Cerruti added: “Thanks to Areas’ partner brands portfolio, we rank Paris Expo Porte de Versailles as the most ambitious events venue in Paris with regards to its catering model. The PAUL innovation café illustrates our ambition to provide the best to our clients and to open the park to all the Parisians. “

The café, whose unique architectural setting plays on a subtle blend of white and grey tones, comprises two points of sale (one park-side and another city-side) including a spacious patio and a large, convivial room with long tables.

Alongside the sandwich, cake and pastry favorites that underpin the success of the PAUL brand, the café offers a unique range of “collection blanche” products developed especially for the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition park, such as raspberry cooked cream tarts, white saint-honoré pastry, benoîton with white chocolate chips, meringue…
