America’s Trains Inc. expands marketing capabilities
Alexandra (Alex) Davies joins USA’s only luxury train vacation operator as marketing director America’s Trains Inc (http://americantrainvacations.com) announced today that Alexandra (Alex) Davies has joined the company as Marketing Director. For the last nine years Alex has managed media relations, publicity, promotions, marketing concepts, customer service and strategic planning for major casino operators in Las Vegas. Alex said “I am excited to be part of the introduction and marketing of unique, incomparable North American passenger train vacation products to a worldwide market.”
Starting in 2018, America’s Trains will begin to provide Journeys by Rail on luxuriously rebuilt passenger train cars that travel throughout the USA and into Canada as part of Amtrak and regional railroads, filling a void that has grown since the 1970s when modern aircraft and improved highways began to replace deluxe train travel. Typical Journeys are for eight days with layovers at various intriguing en-route destinations where passengers live on board elegant rail cars (moving to and from hotels is not required) while enjoying nearby activities and attractions; cars are dropped of by one and picked up by another Amtrak or other railroad after a suitable layover. Within several years, America’s Trains growing fleet will include about 60 rail cars that provide diverse seven night Journeys on over 21,000 miles of track.
