Taste Food, Wine and Music Festival Free Event
The historic township of Camden will play host to an afternoon of delicious food, gourmet treats, wine tasting, live music, and children’s activities on Sunday, September 24, 2017, for the Taste Food, Wine and Music Festival.
Held at Camden Town Farm from 12pm to 5pm, the event is the finale to the Camden Festival, a two-week long celebration of the town’s culture and heritage. Other festival events included a Picnic in the Park, a Cinema Under the Stars and the annual public opening of Camden Park House, the 1834 home of colonial pioneers John and Elizabeth Macarthur.
Guests to the Taste Food, Wine and Music Festival can visit more than 40 stalls with a variety of options including Filipino, Columbian, Lebanese, German and South American cuisine. Guests can try beverages from eight local beer and wine stalls, as well as sample gourmet burgers, pizzas, garlic prawns and chorizo. Those with a sweet tooth can munch on macarons, scrolls, cronuts and gelato. Children’s activities on offer include face painting, an animal farm, a jumping castle and smoothie bikes – which blend healthy smoothies as kids peddle, which they can then drink.
Cooking demonstrations will take place at 1pm and 3pm and chef Miguel Maestre from channel Ten’s ‘The Living Room’ will make an appearance, whipping up some of his own delicious recipes for the crowd to enjoy. Kids’ cooking classes will also take place, allowing children to learn from a chef and take home the fruits of their labour.
