The ATPI Group and Travelport Locomote see global success
Leading global travel management and events business, the ATPI Group, and Australian corporate travel platform Travelport Locomote, have revealed their joint success following a strategic alliance launched last year.
The partnership, which began in October 2016, enables the ATPI Group to offer Travelport Locomote’s innovative corporate travel events businessplatform to new and existing customers. Since launching 10 months ago, 75 new customers have onboarded with Travelport Locomote in Australia, with the UK market expected to follow.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Travelport Locomote’s intuitive technology empowers companies to manage every aspect of their business travel. This includes simplifying approval, booking and expensing processes while keeping travelling staff safe. Together, the two companies provide an end-to-end travel management solution for businesses worldwide.
This success and business growth follows Travelport Locomote’s introduction to the ATPI Group as its preferred global TMC. This relationship comes off the back of Travelport’s 20 plus year relationship with the ATPI Group globally. The travel tech company has ambitions to double in size by the end of 2017, and sees this relationship as an important step forward in that growth.
Sandra McLeod, CEO at Travelport Locomote, said: “Having a partnership with a global TMC like the ATPI Group is a huge endorsement of our unique approach to managed business travel. It’s fantastic to see our joint efforts paying off with so many new and interesting customers from multiple corners of the world now using our platform.
“The travel management sector is constantly evolving and by sharing our expertise, experience and technology, we look forward to even more opportunities to meet the needs of corporate travellers worldwide.”
Graham Ramsey, Chairman of the ATPI Group, added: “With significant business development and acquisitions in the Asia Pacific region, this strategic alliance with Travelport Locomote has been a strong move that’s already showing signs of continued growth. The partnership has allowed us to develop and promote our combined industry-leading technology and provide a compelling offering to the marketplace. We’re not surprised the platform has seen such significant take up both in Australia and in overseas markets too. It’s been a great first year so far, and we look forward to continuing the successes of 2017.”
In addition to the strategic alliance with Travelport Locomote, the ATPI Group has grown significantly in Australia in recent years. As well as acquisitions throughout the Asia Pacific region, the ATPI Group has also launched its dedicated sports travel and events business — ATPI Sports Events — in Australia for the first time, and continued to add new clients to its ATPI Corporate Travel portfolio.
