Travelport and Ugo Transfers ease ground transport bookings for agents
Travelport, a leading Travel Commerce Platform, is delighted to announce an interconnect arrangement with Ugo Transfers, a service providing aggregated content for ground transfers.
With this interconnect arrangement, over 68,000 travel agents globally will get access to a wide range of ground transport services in over 100 countries. Agents using Travelport Marketplace can download the UGO application to browse, pre-book and confirm their customers’ ground transport arrangements in advanced.
Bay Travel, one of the largest privately owned travel management companies based in Australia, was one of the first agencies to use the Ugo application. Alan Wolf, the managing director of Bay Travel commented, “Bay Corporate Travel has been utilising the services of Ugo Transfers for quite some time now. Our clients have reported the service to be reliable, friendly and, all-in-all, faultless. As a travel management company, we have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Ugo’s highly experienced management team. Now that this app is available via Travelport, we find the ease of access to be an additional bonus.”
Ugo Transfers has also recently established a specialised Service Center which allows for requests to cater to larger groups and other customised options.
“This Service Center will add another layer of reassurance and personalized service delivery for our customers,” said Brad Wicks, managing director of Ugo Transfers. “We are looking forward to providing more travel agents with a seamless solution to search and book for ground transportation. Travelport has been a very supportive partner and we look forward to continuing our great relationship with the team.”
Travelport’s senior director for products and solutions in Asia Pacific, Tony Hopwood added “Ugo Transfers will provide our agents with more content and booking choices for ground transportation. We hope that making this app accessible to travel agencies using Travelport’s Smartpoint will allow agents to create a faster and more efficient workflow, improving the response time for their customers.”
