New travel directory puts Great Australian Doorstep at your fingertips
TRAVEL show The Great Australian Doorstep (GADs) has made planning road trips easy with the creation of an online travel directory jam-packed with everything needed to explore and enjoy our vast and varied continent.
Located on the long-running TV and radio show’s website, the My Road Trip Travel Directory gives GADs viewers access to more than 40,000 travel-related operators that they’ll find useful when they hit the road.
The directory is brimming with detailed information on accommodation, attractions, restaurants, tours, events, activities, hire and essential information in every Australian state and territory.
It is the go-to guide for road travelers to help them make the most of any destination they choose for their next self-drive, camping, caravanning, 4WD or RV motorhome adventure.
Show hosts former AFL star Peter “Spida” Everitt and wife Sheree have compiled the exhaustive list of operators, events and ideas from their extensive travels in and around Australia over the past decade.
“We know people love to gain inspiration for their road trips by watching or listening to the show and following our adventures as we head off the beaten track,” Sheree says.
“So, we decided to take this a step further and put everything we’ve experienced on this huge database of the amazing travel, hospitality and adventure options out there.
“We want Australian road trippers and their families to have every opportunity to get the absolute best out of their journey regardless of their budget, age or fitness level.”
Offering everything from funky beach houses and VIP wildlife tours to wilderness camping and tall ship reef cruises, the travel directory contains detailed descriptions, photos and all the relevant contacts.
