Airtrain launches new travel agent website
Airtrain has launched a travel agency website to provide a new and seamless booking process to help their customers and travellers better manage their airport and hotel transfers.
The new website enables all agents to make reservations, manage bookings, and view Airtrain products and timetables using an instantaneous booking process that sends e-tickets directly to customers; rather than distributing paper tickets or stocking pre-paid tickets.
Airtrain’s CEO, Chris Basche, said the development of the industry website is meeting the increasing demand the travel industry in south-east Queensland has for Airtrain services.
“This is a great step forward for Airtrain and we are excited to be able to offer our industry counterparts a seamless and easy booking platform for hotel transfers and airport travel bookings,” said Mr Basche.
“The website gives travel agents more certainty and fewer obstacles when booking Airtrain tickets for their customers to ease travelling to and from their hotel accommodation and the Brisbane Airport.
“We timed the launch prior to the Commonwealth Games and Airtrain services connecting to the Gold Coast light rail in early 2018.”
Airtrain has already seen a very strong take up from travel agents throughout Australia and New Zealand.
“Hotel transfers are a key component of our operations, so we wanted to build and optimise our partnerships with hotels and accommodations to ensure people travelling to Brisbane City and the Gold Coast have the easiest and most convenient transport experience possible,” he said.
“We are proud to be able to expand our partnerships with hotels to offer travellers the cheapest and most efficient way of commuting between Brisbane Airport, Brisbane’s CBD, suburbia and the Gold Coast.”
Airtrain also offers all Brisbane City hotels the option to install an Airtrain screen to display train departure times for guests.
In addition to the train travel, Gold Coast passengers also have access to hotel transfers with Airtrain’s chauffeur service, Airtrain Connect – a premium door-to-door service including an express train ride to Gold Coast stations plus a chauffeured private vehicle transfer to accommodation or private address.
“Passengers can have a stopover in Brisbane City for any length of time at no extra cost, so our Connect service is perfect for visitors or Gold Coast locals,” he said.
Launched in 2001, Airtrain is the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective way to reach Brisbane and the Gold Coast from Brisbane Airport. It is the sole rail service connecting Brisbane Airport to Brisbane CBD with more than 21 million passenger trips taken in the company’s 16 years of operation.
