Personal Travel Managers celebrate record commission month
The champagne corks were flying in February as TravelManagers’ personal travel managers Mike Eacott, representative for Boronia in Victoria and Queensland’s Denise Dean representative for Hendra, celebrated their personal best ever month of commission sales.
For Dean, success is attributed to client loyalty and a passion for travel.
“Three years ago I became a personal travel manager and I haven’t looked back. My clients inspire me and they are the reason I get out of bed every day. My clients are extremely loyal, as well as booking their travel they are constantly recommending me to their local interest groups and colleagues who need travel too. Having a broad network of contacts, here and overseas is important to my business along with my ability to promote to my target markets. This is what I believe has taken me to the next level of success.”
Repeat business and long term satisfied clients prove a winning combination for Eacott.
“It was a large booking I have been nurturing for over 12 months that contributed to my fantastic February sales result. One of my fantastic loyal clients was planning a family reunion, which they do every few years. After many meetings with my clients we decided to include a self-drive around the US and Canada on the way to the family reunion. It is my personal service and expertise I add to provide value that keeps my clients coming back again and again.”
The opportunity to combine personal interests with travel has been a dream come true for Dean.
“My personal interest in ballet and dance has led me to offer studio tours to give dance students the opportunity of travelling overseas and experiencing master classes with the world’s leaders in dance.”
Flexibility is the key for Eacott.
“The flexibility to run my business in the way that suits me is fantastic. I love that I can provide my clients with products to best suit their holiday needs and the flexibility to meet with my clients where and when is best for them. Working from home also allows me the opportunity to look after my ailing mother without any stress, I can drop by to see her 3-4 times a day and it doesn’t impact on my clients. And still achieve a significant income, you really can’t ask for more than that.”
Dean concurs wholehearted with Eacott around the importance of flexibility.
“I love my independence and working from home. Time is your own being home based – yes you have to be strict with yourself, constantly time managing, but I have systems in place with my time which works for me. My family is number one, so being home and available is the greatest benefit for me of being home based.”
“Everyone at TravelManagers is absolutely thrilled that Denise and Mike’s hard work has been reflected in record commission sales. Our business model continues to provide personal travel manager certainty with its focus on lowering operating costs and improving income. Personal travel managers work under their own steam, when and where they choose, in addition to the remuneration being very attractive. It’s easy to see the TravelManagers model is a winning formula.”
Gazal further adds “Our focus on training and facilitating networking opportunities for our personal travel managers via strong national and state-based support through the national partnership office remains strong.”
Dean believes she wouldn’t have had the success she has today without the overwhelming support of the national partnership office team.
“I have to confess I was a little apprehensive when I joined TravelManagers three years ago but I needn’t have worried. I love being part of the TravelManagers’ family. The support I receive from the national partnership office is invaluable and more importantly I am working less hours and earning substantially more. You can’t ask for more than that,”
