AFTA & Dubai Tourism continue Destination Partnership
The Australian Federation of Travel Agents is pleased to confirm that the strategic destination partnership with Dubai Tourism will continue throughout 2017. Over the past two years the partnership has seen the two organisations work together to strengthen and expand travel agent’s knowledge of Dubai as a great stop-over and holiday destination.
In 2017 Dubai Tourism will tap into AFTA’s successful Member Webinar Program to introduce the brand new Dubai Expert online training program to travel agents. The first of the 2017 webinars will take place today, Tuesday 9 May, and is focused on helping travel agents become confident in selling the Arabian city to consumers.
In addition, AFTA is also pleased to confirm that as part of this partnership, Dubai Tourism maintain their Gold Emcee Sponsorship of the National Travel Industry Awards. Anjali Rao, multi-award winning journalist, TV personality and presenter will again herald the Gala Dinner on Saturday 22 July.
“Anjali is a true professional. It isn’t an easy gig being emcee of the industry’s biggest night. We were so impressed with Anjali’s poise, accuracy and energy in which she hosted the 2016 Gala Dinner that we’ve asked her to return in 2017,” said Jayson Westbury, AFTA Chief Executive.

AFTA & Dubai Tourism invite travel agents to learn more about the new and improved version of Dubai Expert: a unique, fun and interactive training tool from Dubai Tourism which will help provide the industry with the expert knowledge and skills to best sell Dubai.
