Come together for group activities and tours or set sail on your own to find the perfect beach knowing with confidence that any assistance from your crew is just a phone call away.
Enjoy a tot of black Rum on the British Virgin Islands Rum Flotilla
Sail the Caribbean and discover the birthplace of rum, with production dating back to the 1600s. Sugar cane plantations draped almost every hillside in the BVIs and sugar production sweetened every aspect of life on the islands. Sugar planters soon learned how to turn cane juice into a sweet intoxicant and an even sweeter trade item.
Learn about the rich history at a tasting at the Callwood Rum Distillery, the oldest running distillery on the island and while you’re in the BVIs be introduced Pusser’s Rum, the original rum produced in the islands.
During the day, snorkel off Monkey Point, be sure to keep an eye out for the swarms of bright blue and yellow yellowtail fish swarming the rocks, the colorful reefs and the schools of cuttlefish that swim along the bottom of the reef in military formation. At the end of the day retire to Jost Van Dyke for a “Friggin in de Riggin” cocktail – rum frozen with mango and banana, topped with dark rum served at the famous Foxy’s Beach Bar. At legendary Foxy’s, the West Indian food is tasty and the cocktails are potent.
Discover the Balearics with the new Mallorca Flotilla
Mallorca has long drawn people to experience its beauty, Mediterranean flavours and breathtaking landscapes and beaches, world class for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling.
Traverse through winding cobbled streets, marvel at magnificent gothic cathedrals and cliffside calas and enjoy the Mediterranean flavours of spicy paella, trampos , vegetable pizzas or tumbet, a vegetable dish served from tapas bars, cafes and restaurants washed down with a refreshing glass of sangria.
A highlight off the coast of Mallorca is the Cabrera Archipelago National Park. The park is a series of protected islands housing some of the Mediterranean’s best underwater meadows perfect for scuba diving.
Be on the lookout for groupers, octopi, loggerhead turtles and even dolphins that like to pay the meadows a visit.
Discover one of Spain’s traditional fishing towns and yachter’s favourites, Porto Christo. Take advantage of the town’s superb position at the end of a long, sheltered inlet and spend the day swimming in the crystal clear water and sunbathing in the fine golden sand before dining at one of the terrace restaurants, perfectly positioned to catch the lunchtime sun.
