MTA cruise strength underlined with double ‘CLIA Agent of the Year’ nomination
Underlining its strength on the burgeoning Australian cruise scene, MTA – Mobile Travel Agents has for the third year in a row had Members nominated for the Cruise Lines International Association ‘Home Based/Broker/Mobile Cruise Agent of the Year (Australia) award.
The two MTA Members nominated this year are Sarah Fenton and Melissa Pointon, both of whom are hoping to emulate the success achieved last year by current ‘Home Based/Broker/Mobile Cruise Agent of the Year and fellow MTA Member, Tracey Flower and her predecessor, the year before, another MTA Member Wendy Allen.
Congratulating Sarah and Melissa on their success, MTA Cruise Product Manager, Rhona Rodgers said their nominations was a further demonstration of the depth of quality and expertise in the cruising within the MTA membership.
“We are thrilled to have finalists in this category for the third year running,” Mrs Rodgers said. “Last year we had all three finalists and the year before two out of the three finalists.
“With over 100 MTA Members with CLIA affiliation we continue to see significant increase in the cruise sector business which continues to grow exponentially.
“We actively encourage all our MTA Members to join CLIA and embrace the CLIA learning journey to help strengthen their cruise knowledge as we know this will in turn, together with their fabulous customer service ethic, grow their cruise sales.”
The CLIA nomination caps off an amazing two months for Melissa Pointon. Just last November she was one of five finalists nominated for the prestigious Avis Scholarship Award.
