DUE to positive industry feedback and an increase in bookings to the new Scandinavia product introduced last year, established Europe specialist Beyond Travel is expanding the range further in 2017 with introduction of Iceland and a host of new activities in Scandinavia featured in its recently released 2017 Russia & Beyond brochure.

The largest and most comprehensive to date, the brochure includes a variety of Iceland product perfect for tailor-made itineraries for the independent traveller. Marketing manager Bryce Crampton said the great surge of interest in independent travel in Russia and Scandinavia encouraged them to include the new destination.

He added, “This unique destination is fast becoming the place to visit for 2017. It is known to be somewhat difficult to access but with our new product range including escorted touring, self-driving tailor-made tours and coastal voyages – we have made it more accessible to a range of Australian traveller markets”.

One of the most unique new options in Iceland is the eight-day coastal voyage, ‘The Land of Fire & Ice” cruise. Sailing from Reykjavik to Akureyri or vice versa, the itinerary includes majestic coastal scenery with cruising through remote fjords, port visits to some of Iceland’s best kept secrets, picturesque fishing villages, volcanic landscapes and plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting.

As for the expanded product range in Scandinavia, Mr Crampton said that the feedback from travel agents to the expanded services and product this year was overwhelmingly positive and the trade response encouraged Beyond Travel to offer an even wider choice of hotels, tours and sightseeing options for 2017.
