Jet Airways launch direct services to Bengaluru from Singapore
Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today, announced the launch of a daily direct flight from Singapore to Bengaluru with effect from December 14, 2016.
The new flight will offer guests from Singapore, connectivity to Hyderabad, Mangaluru, Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram through Bengaluru. This service has been introduced in response to growing demand on this sector, particularly from business and corporate travellers and will offer guests new convenient travel options.
Jet Airways flight 9W 023 will leave Singapore at 1915 hrs (Local Time) to arrive in Bengaluru at 2115 hrs (LT). On the return, flight 9W 024 will depart Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport at 1110 hrs and arrive in Singapore at 1810 hrs (LT).
The airline will deploy a state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft on this route, offering Premiere and Economy guests the best in-flight product and services along with award-winning in-flight Entertainment (IFE), as also meals that are regional favorites.
Bengaluru is an established and a key IT and investment destination for Singaporean companies looking to invest in India. All these business activities ensure robust growth of air traffic to and from Bengaluru. Over the past two years, there has been an encouraging 15% year-on-year growth from Singapore to South Indian cities. Apart from business travellers, there is also a sizeable growing VFR (Visit Friends & Relatives) and leisure traffic movement to Bengaluru due to its many tourist attractions and pleasant weather conditions. In addition to Chennai, Bengaluru will serve as another key Jet Airways’ destination that seamlessly connects into its extensive domestic network.
Therefore, in response to encouraging feedback from corporate, high net-worth individuals, trade partners and the large South Indian diaspora in Singapore, Jet Airways’ is introducing Singapore to Bengaluru flights. Through this new direct flight, Jet Airways’ will bring ‘The Joy of Flying’ and it’s ‘Renowned Signature Indian Hospitality’ to the airline’s fourth direct Indian destination to Singapore. Currently, Jet Airways operates daily flights from Singapore to Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
Similarly, the new Jet Airways Bengaluru – Singapore service also offers convenient connections to Australia and the ASEAN region via Singapore on codeshare and interline partner airlines.
Guests on incoming flights from Singapore will be able to transit seamlessly on to Jet Airways’ extensive domestic network as well as travel onward to other international destinations from Mumbai.
