Nanuku turns adventure spotlight on new ‘Young Guests’ activity program

Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji has just announced a rebranded ‘Young Guests’ activity program offering the perfect setting for the younger members of the family to explore and experience the resort and in and around Pacific Harbour, aka Fiji’s ‘adventure playground’.

Aimed at both the older children as much as their younger counterparts, the revamped ‘Young Guests’ program is geared around a fun, active and educational range of daily activities taking place both within the resort’s recently traditionally built ‘Lailai’ club house.

A host of adventures both above and below the sea and in the local environment ensure older children and teenagers can also enjoy an age-appropriate fun and very active holiday while at the same time giving them ample time to enjoy perhaps what Nanuku does best – reconnecting families with each other.

The resort offers daily children’s care with nannies for small children and a host of fun activities including arts, crafts, water sports, games and cultural learning, in the dedicated ‘Lailai’ Children’s Club.

But plans are also underway to make the resort’s ‘Young Guests’ program the envy of all Fiji with the installation of an on-resort zipline and a climbing wall.

For older children activities range from a waterfall safari, stand up paddle boarding and river rafting, traditional food preparation to reef walking, snorkelling and other water sports – even reef replanting as one of the more environmentally oriented activities.

The Pacific Harbour region is also famous for the wide variety of activities the whole family can enjoy including white-water rafting, ziplining, diving and surfing.

General Manager, Mark Stanford said while a core ingredient of any Nanuku experience was offering a holiday where families are able to reconnect with one another, the resort also recognised the importance of making sure each and every member of the family gets to enjoy their ‘own’ holiday.

“Nanuku’s ‘Young Guests Program’ is designed to offer something new and very different to our younger visitors,” Mr Stanford said.

“We sit in a unique position whereby we can actually offer this sort of program in a luxury setting unlike many of Fiji’s top end resorts which, while offering a luxury prospect, do not in fact encourage families with young children to stay.

”And that’s what sets us apart.”
