Last week, on 18 November, New Zealand’s SKYCITY Convention Centre hosted the Pacific Area Incentives & Conference Expo (PAICE): an opportunity for New Zealand-based incentive and conference organisers to research products and services from offshore suppliers.
Among the suppliers was an outstanding representation of Australian Business Event products, confirming Australia’s ongoing commitment to New Zealand’s event buyers and planners.
As a result of the large Australian representation, this year PAICE organisers launched the ‘Australia Precinct’, a designated area for Australian exhibitors, which included Adelaide Convention Bureau, Gold Coast Business Events and Virgin Australia.
Tourism Australia New Zealand country manager Jenny Aitken was joined by exhibiting partners at the event, showcasing Australia as a unique business events and incentive destination.
The day kicked off with guests indulging in an Australian-inspired menu at the Tourism Australia sponsored ‘Brain Food Australia’ breakfast.
The breakfast was developed by celebrity chef Sean Connolly who brought to life the recent Restaurant Australia campaign and highlighted Australia’s outstanding produce.
The menu included distinct Australian flavours including Tasmanian smoked trout and damper, all proving a hit with the guests.
