Mediterranean ferry tickets from International Rail

Melbourne-based rail experts International Rail have added to their extensive product range by introducing point to point ferry tickets for crossings in the United Kingdom and Europe, Greece and the Mediterranean.

These e-tickets can be booked as a stand-alone product with no purchase of land products required. Ferry tickets are available between the UK/Europe, Greece and Italy as well as island hopping through the Greek Islands.

Managing director Jonathan Hume said that the same process of purchasing and confirming rail seats has been applied to ferry tickets, offering agents a simple and quick way to secure crossings and allocated seat for their clients during the busy summer period.

Mr Hume added, “We have heard for a long time that it has been difficult for agents to book stand-alone ferry tickets for their clients so we came up with a simple model. Just like many trains these days, the tickets are electronic and the passenger collects their actual tickets at the port prior to boarding. It saves time queuing and reduces the stress of trying to purchase tickets locally with seats potentially selling out”.

Offering great value, tickets can be booked and confirmed up to four months in advance and are available in both first and economy class travel. There are confirmed seats and deck space available during day services and a variety of accommodation options for overnight services.

A popular route is the crossing from Santorini to Ios which is available from only $58 per person when purchased in Australia.
