Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd has officially launched its new reservation system, ESPRESSO, for travel agent partners selling Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises.
ESPRESSO utilises the latest technology to simplify the booking process and help travel agents boost cruise sales and enhance their businesses.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Australia commercial director Sean Treacy said the company is thrilled to launch the new reservation system to its partners in Australia and New Zealand.
“ESPRESSO puts the industry’s best reservation system at travel agents’ fingertips and provides them the freedom to engage their clients wherever they are,” Mr Treacy said.
“We created this reservation system based on what our travel partners have told us they need.”
Royal Caribbean staff have been travelling across Australia and New Zealand to train travel agent partners and prepare them for the transition to the ESPRESSO system.
The new system is powered by CruisingPower.com and replaces CruiseMatch, which will be discontinued as of 30 June 2015 once the transition to ESPRESSO is made.
ESPRESSO is available on tablet devices, an industry-first, making the technology easily accessible from the office and on-the-go.
The system is designed to be simple and easy, with the number of steps in the reservation process reduced from seven to five.
Travel agents can use interactive deck plans to easily identify available staterooms, filter specific criteria, and compare itineraries side-by-side to help choose the best cruise for their clients.
ESPRESSO also features a predictive search function to find existing and past reservations to help save time when agents are making or servicing a booking.
