WEX Inc. (WEX), a corporate payment solutions provider, has announced a new agreement between its subsidiary, WEX Australia, and Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) that will introduce a virtual payments solution.
FCTG will adopt WEX’s virtual credit card solution to a key part of the business, Flight Centre Global Product (FCGP).
The solution aims to reduce costs by streamlining the payment process and providing management with reporting across multiple currencies.
FCGP general manager leisure Jason Hartley said the new technology is the solution the business needs.
“WEX Australia’s virtual payments solution met our need for a seamless integration into our booking system, provision of additional controls and will deliver efficiencies by reducing reconciliations, queries and invoice processing,” Mr Hartley said.
WEX’s single-use virtual card technology assigns every transaction with a unique number, allowing FCGP to easily track payments and reduce the amount of physical paperwork.
WEX Australia managing director Greg Drumm said they are pleased with their new partnership with Flight Centre Travel Group.
“We are thrilled that we were able to complement the operations of Flight Centre, a leading bricks and mortar and online travel agency and a true Australian success story,” Mr Drumm said.
