When and why did you join the industry?

I joined the travel industry in August 2011 as a Trainee with JacTravel in London for 8 months. The reason I decided to join the industry is because my family has been in this business for a very long time and my father has established his own company, CBS Travel Asia, in 1999. Therefore, I can say that “the Travel Industry runs in the family”

What do you like most about your job?

I get to meet and interact with a lot of new and interesting people. We have the opportunity to exchange new and different ideas from every part of the world. Another exciting benefitis that I am able to travel to tradeshows all around the world e.g. Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, London, Madrid, Lisbon, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Berlin, Seoul, and Taipei. I believe that this business and opportunities has exposed me to the real world. I have a chance to visit many countries and see how different people from different cultures deal with their businesses.

What’s one of the biggest achievements of your career so far?

My full time employment has only started in December 2013. I am still learning and discovering new aspects of the travel industry every week. Therefore, at the moment my biggest achievement would be graduating from both Under-graduate and Post-graduate degrees in the UK.

What’s the best advice ever given to you and who gave it?

Work hard, be sincere, be honest and keep your promise.

My father said that to me before I started working.

Who do you admire and see as a role model in the industry?

Khun Chaladol Ussamarn, my father.

USA, Hawaii, Japan, Spain, UK

What’s a memorable travel experience you’ve had (good or bad)?

Road trip in the UK (from London to Scotland) it was a memorable trip. I drove through the entire UK with my family and loved ones. It was one of my most enjoyable trips ever with scenery, history and people.

What are three things you always take with you when travelling?

Ipad, ear plugs and phone-adapter

Name someone famous you’d like to travel with and a destination you’d like to go with them.

I would love to travel on a world tour concert with Justin Timberlake. The destination is not important, as I want to witness in person how incredible his stage performance would be.

What direction do you see the industry heading in over the next five to ten years?

The customer will turn to more online services, no matter it’s a hotel booking, airport-transfer, sightseeing tour, restaurant reservation etc. Reviews and feedback from customers of any travel service will be more visible to the public. Because more and more travellers tend to do some research beforehand and express their experiences in open forums.
