TravelManagers’ recent State Meetings held around Australia were an opportunity for more than 300 personal travel managers to celebrate a successful year amid some Christmas festivity.

“It’s been another tremendous year for TravelManagers, and these meetings are all about celebrating the great work our personal travel managers do.  At this time of year it’s great to have the opportunity to let down our hair a little and have some fun after a year of hard work.” says Michael Gazal, TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager.

Four state meetings were held in Brisbane, Scarborough (Western Australia), Sydney and Melbourne achieving record attendances.

“The fact that we have 318 personal travel managers together with 30 national partnership office staff attending our state meetings and end of day Christmas parties, really illustrates the strong sense of community spirit we all enjoy,” says Gazal.

Following a day of business sessions and just prior to the start of the Christmas celebrations, partner supplier the Edwardian Group London sponsored a pre-Christmas party door prize.

Personal travel managers were invited to enter a nationwide business card draw, and on 16 December, the winner was announced. Shona Fairleigh representative from Wamberal in New South Wales’ Central Coast, was thrilled to receive her early Christmas present from the Edwardian Group London, in the form of an iPad mini.

“Being new to TravelManagers, I found the state meetings and Christmas party a great opportunity to get to know my colleagues better in both a business and less formal celebratory way. To know we also have these amazingly generous suppliers involved – it’s a huge added perk!” says Fairleigh.

As 2014 comes to a close, Gazal reflects on the importance of the personal travel manager and national partnership office relationship.

“We know a big factor in our success is the strong relationships between our personal travel managers and our national partnership office support teams. An overriding objective of the national partnership office is to create a sense of family and strong community spirit amongst our personal travel managers. We are thrilled to have celebrated Christmas regionally, allowing the opportunity to network and collectively celebrate what has been a fantastic year for TravelManagers. Plus, we know how to have fun!”
