People of all ages will congregate at Koshigaya Park, Campbelltown, in the Macarthur region, just 45 minutes from the Sydney CBD, on December 31 for an evening of fireworks and free, family-friendly entertainment as they welcome in 2015.
Offered by Campbelltown City Council as a quality alternative to the crowded CBD of Sydney, the event will feature carnival rides, food, merchandise stalls, spectacular fireworks displays at both 9pm and midnight and more than five hours of on-stage entertainment.
Performers will include Smooth Jive Consultants, the Jay Seeney Band, We Play Records, James O’Keefe and Karleigh Rose, as well as special appearances from popular children’s characters Peppa Pig and George Pig. A giant screen on the western side of the park will display all of the on-stage action, ensuring everyone has a ‘front row’ experience.
The free family-friendly event is drug and alcohol free, and will begin at 7pm, ending at 12.30am. For more information about the New Year’s Eve Celebration, call (02) 4645 4921 or visitwww.macarthur.com.au
