Helloworld Limited and Cover-More Group Limited have announced a new partnership whereby Cover-More will act as the exclusive travel insurance provider for Helloworld’s retail travel agency networks.
Structured as a commercial joint venture, the partnership will offer helloworld franchisees and members the opportunity to be involved in key elements of product development and customer innovation.
“When we launched the helloworld consumer brand in July 2013, we made a commitment to offer travellers unparalleled convenience, industry-leading service and value and the best, tailor-made travel experiences,” Helloworld Limited chief executive officer Elizabeth Gaines said.
The announcement is in response to consumer demand for travel insurance customised to the individual circumstances and plans of travellers.
“Cover-More is highly regarded for both travel insurance and medical assistance, combining innovation with a genuine focus on the customer and the structure of the arrangement will provide clear benefits for Helloworld, our franchisees, members and our customers,” Ms Gaines said.
Cover-More has been a preferred supplier to parts of the helloworld networks for a few years and the new partnership will see the supplier expand the relationship across the entire Helloworld Limited retail networks, offering customers access to several innovative products.
“Together we will deliver a compelling value proposition to helloworld franchisees and members and are confident of winning their support and loyalty through the right mix of products and services,” Cover-More Group chief executive officer Peter Edwards said.
“We also look forward to integrating our proprietary optimisation platform, Impulse, with Helloworld systems and interfaces.”
The new agreement will officially commence 1 January 2015 for an initial term of five years, with the launch of the proposed new product suite expected in early 2015.
