Tigerair continues China expansion

Travellers will soon have more flight options when travelling to China as Tigerair launches its first direct flights to Guilin and Nanning this November.

The twice-weekly flights to Nanning will commence 1 November and Tigerair will operate a once-weekly flight to Guilin from 15 November.

Both of the direct flights will take under four hours, and aims to provide greater accessibility and convenience for passengers.

In addition, passengers from China can also connect via Singapore’s award-winning Changi Airport onto other regional destinations in Tigerair’s growing network.

Tigerair managing director and chief operating officer Ho Yuen Sang, said that Tigerair are very pleased to be launching direct flights to Guilin and Nanning.

“Singaporeans make up the seventh largest group of tourists to Guilin and with the added convenience of a direct flight from Singapore; we hope more Singaporeans will opt to visit Guilin and Nanning in the coming months,” Mr Sang said.

In recent months, Guilin and Nanning has hosted a series of high profile international events, enabling Tigerair to provide more flights for international travellers to the region.
