Bunnik Tours Reduces Group Sizes to Maximum 20

220763In a major shakeup of the group touring market Bunnik Tours has announced that it is permanently reducing its maximum group size to just 20 passengers.  This change applies to the entire range of Bunnik Tours to Europe, South America, Middle East, Asia and Africa. The only exceptions being some African tours (max 12) and Indo-China (max 18).

“Small groups have always been at the heart of the Bunnik Tours philosophy because smaller groups mean a better holiday experience,” says Dennis Bunnik, Bunnik Tours’ managing director.

“Bunnik Tours is the first company to introduce groups this small to the extended coach tour market as until now groups this small have been limited to adventure travellers and those taking short regional breaks. ”

Bunnik Tours will continue to use full sized luxury coaches for its tours.

“We can all relate to the great feeling you have when you find out the seat next to you is free on a flight – from now on Bunnik Tours clients can experience that feeling every day of their holiday.”

The move to a maximum group size of 20 people places Bunnik Tours in a category of their own for extended touring.   In Europe the major tour companies’ group sizes range from 30 to 51 passengers.

“Smaller group sizes mean our passengers spend less time waiting for others and more time enjoying the sights.  And because our guest-to-guide ratio is so low our clients get a more personalised experience with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and really take advantage of our guide’s local knowledge and expertise.”

The move to small groups is part of Bunnik Tours overall strategy to provide Australian travellers with a better holiday experience and to spread the benefits of tourism.

“Smaller groups give you a better holiday experience but they are also more sustainable and help to broaden the economic benefits of tourism.  Large groups are forced to stick to the tourist trail and use large hotels and restaurants.  Smaller groups have greater choice and can use smaller suppliers. This spreads the benefits of tourism and ensures that we are lower impact – so we don’t ruin the very place we’ve come to see.”

This announcement comes as Bunnik Tours releases its European touring program for 2015.  The program comprises 15 tours including four Cruise & Tour packages in conjunction with Celebrity and Holland America Line.

New tours for 2015 include Southern Italy, Sicily & Malta, Treasures of Eastern Europe and Cruise & Tour programs to Spain and central Europe including Prague to Venice.

An early bird discount of $250 per person is available for all bookings deposited by 19 December 2014.

Brochures are being distributed to preferred travel agencies by TIFS last week. (6-8 Aug)

Bunnik Tours will officially launch the 2015 Europe season in last weekend’s press (9&10 Aug) with a major advertising campaign in NSW, VIC and SA.  All adverts will encourage clients to visit their local travel agent.  Agents are therefore encouraged to visit the Bunnik Tours’ agent website so that they are fully up to date with the new tours and earlybird offer.

To further strengthen its trade sales team Bunnik Tours has recently appointed Margaret Sibraa as Business Development Manager NSW/ACT.  Margaret comes to Bunnik Tours with a wealth of industry experience including 10 years with Pinpoint Travel Group.
