Travel Counsellors recently welcomed ATAS General Manager, Gary O’Riordan to its head office in Melbourne for an exclusive training webinar, broadcasted through the company’s in-house TV channel, TCTV.

The show was aired to all Travel Counsellors across the country, offering the latest news and training from the accreditation scheme. The webinar follows Travel Counsellors recent move on the first of July to become accredited participants of the AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS).

Gary O’Riordan comments; “I really appreciated the opportunity to present ATAS to the Travel Counsellors network on TCTV last week and to meet all of the team in Melbourne. I was particularly impressed with their innovative technology which enabled me to deliver training to all of the company’s agents who are located across the country. It was an ideal time to talk about the accreditation scheme, answer any questions and to outline our plans for the consumer awareness campaign we will be conducting. We are very pleased that Travel Counsellors have wholeheartedly embraced the future of the industry by becoming accredited.”

Tracy Parkinson, Travel Counsellors General Manager comments; “We are proud to be members of ATAS and wanted our Travel Counsellors to be fully equipped about what it means to them and their customers, with Gary’s appearance on TCTV offering  invaluable knowledge to our agents.”

Travel Counsellors has implemented a full financial protection promise into the business in Australia, giving customers 100% protection in the eventuality of supplier failure. Parkinson adds; “ATAS gives us the accreditation scheme, and we provide our own compensation scheme, giving our customers complete peace of mind when booking their travel with our Travel Counsellors.”
