Christened on the 26th March at Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore, Silver Discoverer is an intimate 120-guest vessel, which will offer guests the opportunity to explore the Kimberley, Australia’s hidden treasure. In addition, Silver Discoverer’s itineraries explore remote areas of Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia, the Russian Far East, Southeast Asia and New Zealand’s Sub-Antarctic Islands.
Guests will benefit from the vast knowledge and experience of a highly-qualified Silversea Expeditions team. The team of 11 experts consists of expedition leaders, dive masters, marine biologists, historians, geologists and naturalists.
Karen Christensen, General Manager & Director Sales/Marketing for Australasia says,
“It’s fitting that, in our 20th anniversary year, our latest prestigious ship will continue Silversea’s tradition of reaching some of the most remote and exotic areas of the world. Silver Discoverer will bring guests even closer to dramatic landscapes and historically rich destinations, all in the comfort and style that Silversea is renowned for.”
Commencing the Kimberley season with record sales, Silver Discoverer’s inaugural voyage took place on 2nd April from Broome.
“Since the announcement of Silver Discoverer, there has been a huge spike in reservations which is testament that this type of cruising really appeals to the Australian market. Feedback from our customers has been very positive and the amount of bookings we have received has been wonderful. We are thrilled that Silver Discoverer’s inaugural sailing will commence an already sold out Kimberley season,” says Christensen.
The brochure outlines Silversea’s generous inclusions: an outstanding expedition team; complimentary adventures ashore; all-suite accommodation including butler service; gourmet meals with menus designed by Relais & Châteaux; complimentary wines and spirits served throughout the ship, and all gratuities.
